Grand Union Flag
The Grand Union Flag (also known as the Continental Colors or Cambridge Flag) is widely considered the first national flag of the United States, used from 1775 to 1777. It featured 13 alternating red and white stripes representing the colonies, with the British Union Jack in the canton, symbolizing both colonial unity and initial allegiance to Britain.
