2020 Revolutionary War Living History Weekend

Jan 18, 2020 in Events, News

Jacobsburg Historical Society is very excited to host our second American Revolutionary War Living History Weekend presented by the 3rd PA Regiment. The 3rd Pennsylvania Regiment is a Philadelphia-based reenactment unit dedicated to the preservation of history and the accurate interpretation of the military and civilian roles of men, women, and children in eighteenth-century America. See history come alive as the 3rd PA presents marching, drills, camp life, and open hearth cooking.  This year we will also have a British encampment with a skirmish, living history and Makers/Merchants.  Fun for the whole family!

The Boulton Historic Site will be open to the public on Saturday September 12th and Sunday September 13th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for this very special event. Adult admission is $7.00 with free on-site parking. Children 12 and under, JHS members, active duty military and scouts are free.

The Pennsylvania Longrifle Museum will be open for tours Saturday and Sunday 10am–4pm.  The 1832 J.  Joseph Henry House Museum and Summer Kitchen will be open for tours on Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday from 12 noon – 4:00pm.

Food provided both days by Mad J’s BBQ!

Jacobsburg Annual Living History Events are funded in part through the 2020 Northampton County’s Hotel Tax Program.
